Auguste Moreau, the third son of sculptor and painter Jean Baptiste Moreau, Auguste initiated himself to sculpture along with his older brother Mathurin. In 1861, he made his debut at the Salon, where he would exhibit regularly until 1913. His subjects were primarily genre scenes, pastorals, and allegories; his style was realistic and graceful, revealing his relation to the other members of the Moreau dynasty. The similitude of names sometimes provokes confusion in the attribution of certain works signed without first initials.

This is a multi step process that insures a quality bronze sculpture that may be passed down from generation to generation. Most sculptures are mounted on a beautiful marble bases and includes an engraved brass plaque with sculpture name and artist. Most bronzes have the artist signatures on bronze. Each piece of art holds intricate details and realistic qualities, each a unique quality of art that blends the process of Lost Wax Casting Process as well as hands on detailing.

After your order is received and payment is made we start the process of the final detail on each sculpture, meaning the finishing hands on details and assembling the marble base on the bottom. Mounting screws / bolts can be inserted in the bracket under the sculpture for a secure permanent installation. You may not need then in a residential setting, but they are highly recommended for public art installations.
