Color Choices – The standard way we cast this sculpture is with what we refer to as multi-color patina. However, we can also make the entire sculpture classic statuary green or brown for a more traditional look. Both patinas are very nice and weather the same. Color selection is more a matter of preference.
* Mounting brackets can be welded on for permanent installation at your location for an added $75.00. Mounting screws / bolts can be inserted in the bracket under the sculpture for a secure permanent installation. You may not need then in a residential setting, but they are highly recommended for public art installations.

Sculptor: Antoine-Louis Barye
Barye was the classic case of the artist’s struggle for recognition and fame, both of which came late to his life. In 1848, Barye became director of a plaster casting establishment in the Louvre. In 1854 Barye was appointed Professor of Drawings at the Museum of Natural History for his artistic proficiency with anatomy. One of his pupils was the preeminent French sculptor Auguste Rodin. Antoine-Louis Barye is revered as the greatest animal sculptor of all time and father of the Animalier School.
